International Academic and Management Association (IAMA)
International Academic and Management Association (IAMA) is a private, not-for-profit membership based association.
The organization works on the basic premise that “Education is a Fundamental Right” and everyone should have the “Right to Education without any discrimination”. Additionally, the organization firmly believes that the education offered should be:
- Qualitative
- Affordable
- Dynamic & Flexible
- Inclusive
- Borderless
- Industry Centric
IAMA came into existence in the year 2013 and is registered as a Trust under the Indian Trust Act. It is today one of the fastest growing associations in the world, servicing over 200 educational institutions, government and government backed agencies across 44 countries, impacting the lives of thousands of students every year through internationalization
The year 2022 has been very significant for IAMA, with the organization achieving some very important milestones which includes:
- IAMA becoming an official partner of the World Health Organization (WHO) driven PMNCH initiative which focuses on the health of woman, child and adolescent
- IAMA becoming a designated UN Partner organization (NGO) on projects related to the UNICEF, WFP, UNHCR and UNFPA
- IAMA achieving a full accreditation from QAHE as an organization of high standing
- IAMA achieving full accreditation from EEQA after undergoing strict comparison of academic standards, management capabilities, academic accreditation, quality system and academic management.
The above developments are significant considering the fact that IAMA has now also ventured into the area of affordable and quality healthcare, waste management and renewable green energy. For smooth functioning of these new projects, IAMA has created a subsidiary under the name IAMA International Tradelinks Pvt. Ltd. (IITPL).
In the healthcare domain the project entails setting up collaborative medical colleges in the developing nations with the aim of increasing the number of medical professional and healthcare workers there. The same shall be backed by IITPL’s commitment towards upgrading the existing hospitals in these countries and also giving the people access to affordable generic medicines.
Additionally, in the area of Waste Management, IAMA shall bring in technology in these countries to convert the waste into domestic bio-fuel and organic fertilizer.
IITPL shall also work closely with the government and the private players to promote the usage of solar energy to address the issue of electric power in these countries.
Since its inception, IAMA had drawn up a plan to set up its own university. The same saw the light of the day with the launch of IAMA International Open University of Florida which was registered in Florida, USA in the year 2022. Additionally, IAMA has also launched its School of Vocational and Technical Education (IAMA – SVTE) for promotion of employability and entrepreneurship trades and skills
